Project NOAH to conduct another DRRM Workshop Series this September 21

Realizing its aim of administering a NOAH Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRMM) workshop series twice a month, Project NOAH (Nationwide Operational Assessment of Hazards) will be conducting its 4th workshop on September 21, 2015. The 3rd installment, and also this month’s first run, recently concluded last September 2. Forty-six participants from different government sectors and organizations attended the event, including representatives of LGUs from Rizal, Aurora, Bulacan, Pampanga, Zambales, Occidental Mindoro, and Pangasinan

The event will be held in University of the Philippines-Diliman National Institute of Geological Sciences (UP NIGS) building at 1:00 to 5:00 in the afternoon. The training workshop will focus to learning how to use the hazard assessment tools developed by DOST- Project NOAH, such as the website and hazard maps.

This is free of charge, free for all, so we encourage everyone, especially the local disaster risk reduction officers and individuals working in disaster preparedness and risk reduction, to attend this activity so we could work hand in hand in averting disasters through disaster management, preparedness, and mitigation.
